Mobile medical and psychological teams “We act for health”

The goal of the project is the prevention of the most common non-communicable diseases (heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, hypertension) and first psychological assistance in difficult circumstances to residents of communities and communities with difficult access to primary medical services.

For the period April-December 2023, services were provided to 7,994 patients, including:

  • 6130 general medical examinations,
  • 1864 psychologist consultations,
  • 5913 ECG,
  • 1645 cholesterol level measurement,
  • 5665 glucose measurement.

In 2023, mobile medical and psychological teams visited 90 rural communities and specialized institutions (shelters, boarding schools, public organizations).

The work of mobile medical and psychological teams took place within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Acting for Health”, which is implemented with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine and the technical assistance of the University Hospital of Geneva. The Walnut House Foundation, in cooperation with the Sheptytskyi Hospital, acted as a regional partner of the project in the Lviv region.
