Support of women in the development of their own business

Financial start for the purchase of equipment, materials and training courses

After the completion of the Kryla project (Women involved: the path to growth and economic security), participants have the opportunity to get a financial start for the purchase of equipment, materials or specialized training.

Funding for business ideas comes from two sources:

  • The Pact Organization with the support of the Government of Canada (as part of the Wing project),
  • AWO International, Volkshilfe Österreich and Aktion Deutschland Hilft.

Areas of supported business ideas: agribusiness, beauty and health, gastronomy and confectionery, tailoring and textiles, traditional crafts and handicrafts, education and consulting, leisure and sports, production of home decor, furniture, kitchen accessories, etc.

In total, for the period 2021-2023, 85 business ideas from women of the Lviv region were supported in the amount of over UAH 1.3 million.

Local, regional and all-Ukrainian meetings

  • graduates of the project,
  • residents of the community – potential participants of the project,
  • representatives of local self-government bodies,
  • entrepreneurs, public activists, cultural figures of the community,
  • the team of the “Nut House” Foundation and partners.

The purpose of the meetings is to present the current programs and projects of the Fund and to form a community for mutual support and partnerships.

During the meetings in the communities take place

  • acquaintances and networking over coffee.
  • presentation of stories of change from graduates of the Kryla project,
  • motivating and inspiring lectures,
  • fair of products of the graduates of the Kryla project,

Annual regional meetings bring together graduates of various groups of the Kryla project from all project communities of the Lviv region, partners of the Nut House Foundation, representatives of local authorities, public women’s organizations, social services, business and media.

During the regional meetings take place

  • acquaintances and networking, establishment of cooperation,
  • presentation of partner organizations and results of cooperation,
  • presentation of open programs and projects of the “Nut House” Foundation,
  • presentation of the results of the Kryla project and the stories of changes of its beneficiaries,
  • presentations, round tables and discussions with the participation of graduates of the Kryla project,
  • motivational speeches by guest speakers of successful female entrepreneurs,
  • fair of products of graduates of the Kryla project.

To popularize women’s entrepreneurship and support Kryl entrepreneurs, a large-scale all-Ukrainian meeting of the community of project beneficiaries from the communities of Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv and Kyiv regions, as well as representatives of big business, international organizations and the public sector, is held in Kyiv every year.

Participation in the marketplace Vsy.Svoi

All platform. It was created to promote local Ukrainian producers. One of the formats of her work is the holding of large-scale thematic fairs, where 100+ Ukrainian brands are presented: clothes, shoes and accessories, household goods, decorations and craft products. Two graduates of the Kryla project from the Lviv region participated in the marketplace.

Kyiv, August 26-27, 2023. Independent market

  • 3 participants from Lviv Oblast,
  • Presented products: author’s metaphorical associative maps, ornaments and decors made of wool, hand-painted gingerbread.

Kyiv, November 25-26, 2023. Care Market

  • 10 participants from Lviv Oblast,
  • presented products: confectionery, wool products, handmade textile dolls, healthy sweets, bed linen, souvenirs and gifts with author’s prints, Easter eggs, self-collection teas, plaster decorations, yarn accessories and beaded jewelry.

The results of participation in the Vsyky.Svoi marketplace:

  • sales and communication practice,
  • exchange of experience and knowledge,
  • new partnerships and opportunities.

Participation in the All market. Mine became possible thanks to the support of the Government of Canada within the framework of the Kryla project (Women Engaged: Path to Growth and Economic Security).

Fair of social entrepreneurs of Lviv

Thanks to the cooperation of the “Nut House” Foundation, the Entrepreneurship Support Center of the Lviv City Council, and the Western Ukrainian Cluster of Social Enterprises, the Fair of Social Entrepreneurs of Lviv has been launched.

  • 10 participants from the communities of Lviv Oblast,
  • products presented: handmade interior dolls, bread and homemade pastries, healthy sweets, textiles, designer jewelry, teas of our own collection, beaded and yarn products, decorative trinkets for the home.

  • sales and communication practice,
  • exchange of experience and knowledge,
  • new partnerships and opportunities.

  • the craft products of the beneficiaries of the Kryla project are presented,
  • inspirational motivational talk,
  • support and popularization of the products of Ukrainian entrepreneurs,
