Wings (Women Engaged: A Path to Growth and Economic Security)
Duration: March 2021 – November 2024
The goal of the Kryla project is to improve the economic well-being of women by creating opportunities for employment and developing their own business.
The Kryla project in the Lviv region is implemented by Pact Ukraine: building the world of equal opportunities in cooperation with the Nut House Foundation with the support of the Government of Canada/Embassy of Canada to Ukraine. Distribution of the project: Zhovtanetska, Zolochivska Zymnovodivska, Kamianka-Buzka and Lvivska communities. Its target audience is women in difficult life circumstances who do not have permanent employment and stable income.
The project is implemented in several stages. Its basic component is the educational and motivational program “Opportunities Workshop”, which consists of 6 thematic group classes and individual consultations, which are designed to reveal a woman’s potential and her strengths. The program lasts about 2 months. At the end, the local coordinator of the program helps to make a decision about choosing one of two ways of further participation — training on employment skills or training on starting and developing one’s own business.
Those participants who undergo training on starting and developing a business have the opportunity to submit a business plan and get a financial start for the purchase of equipment, materials or training courses. For further support of project participants, participation in the program of the business accelerator of ideas, fairs, local and regional community meetings is also offered.
